LOCATION

TAMENGO is located in Puerto Quijarro, the heart of The Bolivian PANTANAL, right on the Brazilian – Bolivian border and just 3,5 km from the Brazilian border city of Corumbá.

Puerto Quijarro is home to the railway station that is the beginning and the end of the famous “Death Train” that travels to and from the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. It is also famous for the Duty Free Zone (Zona Franca) in nearby Puerta Aguirre.


TAMENGO is just 6 blocks from the Train Station, 5 blocks from the Bus Station, 6 blocks from the Market and 10 blocks from the Zona Franca in Puerta Aguirre.

HOW TO GET HERE?

From BRAZIL

Before crossing the Bolivian Border you must get your Brazilian Exit Stamp from the Bus Station in Corumbá. Take a regular or motorcycle taxi to the border. You will need to leave the vehicle and walk across the border. Here, get your entry stamp for Bolivia. Once in the Bolivian side take a taxi to TAMENGO RESORT.


From SANTA CRUZ DE LA SIERRA, BOLIVIA

- TRAIN
If you have taken the famous DEATH TRAIN from Santa Cruz, you will arrive at Puerto Quijarro train station. You can take a taxi, or walk direct from the train station – 6 blocks straight down from the main exit, no turning. There is a sign outside the station ointing you in the right direction.

Expresso Oriental : leaves Santa Cruz (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) returns (Tuesday, Thursday and Sundays)
Ferrobus : exits Leaves Santa Cruz (Tuesday, Thursday and Sundays) returns (Monday, Wednesday and Friday)


- AIRPLANE
If you flight from Santa Cruz you will land in the airport of Puerto Suarez, approx 10km away. Take a taxi to TAMENGO RESORT.

Aerosur : roundtrip (Monday, Wednesday and Friday)
TAM : roundtrip (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday)
